Had a COVID-19 vaccine abroad? Have your UK vaccine record updated

The overseas vaccination document checking service is available for individuals who have had one of the below COVID vaccinations abroad. It allows individuals to have their vaccine record amending and their NHS COVID pass updated. Individuals can book an appointment through the NHS website and the National Booking Service.

There are appointments available across all the NCA hospital hubs, with slots available every day of the week. Individuals are required to bring their passports (or driving licence or biometric resident permit) and copies of their vaccine certificates that they have had abroad. The service is available for anyone 5 years old or over. The vaccines that an individual must have received to be eligible for the service are: 

  • Oxford/Astra Zeneca (Vaxzevria)
  • Pfizer/BioNTech (Comirnaty)
  • Johnson & Johnson (Janssen)
  • Moderna (Spikevax)
  • Institute Of India (Covishield)
  • Bharat Biotech (Covaxin)
  • SinoVac (CoronaVac)
  • Beijing Institute of Biological Products (Sinopharm BIBP)

ID required is one of the below: 

  • Passport
  • Driving Licence
  • Biometric Resident Permit
